Hey, just curious, does anyone know anything about San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, California? I am interested because I was thinking of applying to their ER as per diem and don't know anyone who has worked there. Any info would be great!

I had children there 18 and 20 years ago and thought they were great at that time! Any visits we ever made to that facility were wonderful from a patient's perspective!
I would hope to hear that nothing's changed since I now live out of state!

I worked at SACH as an aide when I was in school for my RN. I was there for about two years and worked on a few different units. Though I wasn't an RN myself back then, I can tell you that that place is very good to their nurses. Most of the RN positions were filled and a lot of nurses there were long time employees (the only ones that left moved away). They are also very well staffed and a lot of times nurses got placed on-call (sometimes they were overstaffed). The hospital itself is very traditional (meds in locked med carts on the units-no pyxis). They also have ALL computerized charting. It is very clean, warm and professional. I only left because I moved away, but I wish the hospital I currently am a nurse for was more like SACH in terms of how they treat their nurses. If you decide to work there, you will have a great experience

Great place to work, best hospital I've ever seen bar none ... nurses rule there.
The ONLY reason I don't work there now was I got a job with much better pay and retirement benefits which, at my age, I couldn't afford to turn down.
But I do love that hospital.

I have a couple of friends there who work in L&D & they love it!!!
I haven't heard good things about the med-surg or tele floors though.......don't know much about the ER either. I have another friend who works in the GI lab & she is very happy there.
