Hello,
I will be graduating on May 09 and I was considering going into Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; however, I am concern about job outlook after graduation and salary.
Does anyone has any information about this?
Thanks
Orlando.

I had a similar situation. I was dead set on going for Adult NP or Acute NP. After looking at several schools, and getting some advice from several APNs, I think the best bet is to go for Family NP, then get Acute NP as a post-master's certificate. This decision was based on the idea that FNP can take care of the "cradle to grave" population which makes them much more marketable especially in the emergency room because an APN in the E.R. needs the pediatric component. Plus, one can work in a variety of other clinical areas.
That's my take on the matter, and that's my plan.
