What's the ROME pneumonic?!? Sounds very familiar - I think I was taught that in a past class!
I posted it on this thread a few replies back. You use it to diagnose ABGs when you have acidosis or alkalosis (whacked pH) and both the CO2 and HCO3 are abnormal and you can't make a definitive decision as to whether the result is respiratory or metabolic acidosis or alkalosis. The ROME mnemonic guides you to that decision.
