I've been at the AANP National Conference in San Antonio the last week. My first time, it's awesome. One of the best aspects is seeing thousands of NP's together for one cause. Truly it was inspiring to see the potential that our profession has when we stand together. If you've never been, I would encourage every NP to attend.

Agree! I went in 2008, and have always wanted to go back; it just hasn't yet worked out.

I remember going to my first national conference and being inspired. I think it is a good experience for the novice NP. I was disappointed with the quality of many of the didactics though and I have been going to medical conferences since unless I am asked to present at an NP conference.

I've attended 2 of them one being last year's big 50th anniversary of the NP profession. My observation is similar to BostonFNP. It's a great venue for socialization, networking, pep talk, and inspiration but gets too large of a gathering to address in detail the intricacies of our individual practice specialties and offer the kind of updated content we need in the real world.
