Aaagh! TEAS Monday!

Published

Holy crap! Almost a month ago I walked into the admissions office at Keiser, walked out with a date set to take the TEAS. I remember saying I needed at least a month to study for th exam. Uh, I take the test Monday, and I am nervous as hell!

Been studying day and night for a few weeks now. Feel good about the reading and verbal ability...oky for the math...I've bee spending all my time trying to write, re-write, highlight, read, re-read, and doing my darnedest to memorize all these crazy formulas I will probably never think about again...

I think about taking the test and I never think I'll have to take it again. I just keep seeing myself passing (probably by the skin of my teeth) the first time around. So ready for Monday to get here and go.

Question: How soon should I get my resutls?

Ugh, spent the last few weeks nervous..guess another week won't hurt hte ulcers! LOL!

I haven't taken the TEAS yet, but I've heard if you take the computer version you get your results immediately. Good luck!

I took the TEAS online last week. It is true... you do get your results back, basically instantly. While I'm bound to not spill the beans, I can say that it's about as difficult as the practice tests are and the online practice tests are basically identical in format and close in layout to the real thing. Sooo... if you've done an online practice test, there won't be much of an issue adapting to the format/layout of the live exam. The night before, eat a good nutritious dinner, get a good night's sleep, wake and have a good breakfast that won't be a gut bomb, tell yourself that you really can do this, go there, hit the restroom before you go inside, and be a bit early to the exam room to settle in.

While there is a time limit, don't feel pressured. Pace yourself. During the exam, have a good calm mind. Anxiety during the test won't help... And as Mr. Miyagi used to say: "Don't forget to breathe. Breathing very important!"

Thanks guys. I have taken one of the practice tests with ATI, and am going to take the second one today.

The science section is, by far, the hardest. My version of the test (they say there's 2) had nothing but chemistry-related questions. UGH UGH! Aced the other sections, but the science section pulled me down to a 75 overall. SUCKED! To me, the online practice tests are harder.

I was a basket case during the weeks leading up to test time. Once you're in there...CAKE WALK. Like others have said...just take your time & breathe. Good luck!

goodluck, i know you can do it!!! your results should print out right after if you are taking it on the computer.

Just think, next week at this time the teas will be behind you and you will be one step closer to your goal....:nurse:

Definitely more Chemistry than I expected. So make sure you know your Chemistry basics. Don't worry about the English and Reading sections because it's pretty much impossible to study for those...you either know it or you don't. Once you start it's not bad at all and if you take the computer version you get results as soon as you are done. Good Luck!!
