A Sincere Thank You to allnurses Members

Published

As we have already had a thread in honour of Mr. Short and another to show our appreciation of the leaders who make AN possible, I want to start another thread in appreciation of the members who have given life to this forum.

I want to tell all of you COBs and nurses with experience and wisdom how much I am indebted to you. Without you, we new nurses would not be able to succeed; we would not even know how to start. I have very much enjoyed learning from all of your posts, and hope that if I graduate nursing school, I will learn to be as good a nurse as you all are.

I want to apologize for times when my generation of nurses has shown ingratitude and yes, entitlement for what we have not earned. However, I also want to say that there is hope, because there are some of us out there, who value what you have, and can give us.

I see constructive criticism here and from my instructors, as a challenge, an opportunity to better myself and to grow. Your posts have been witty, informative, challenging, fun, resourceful, and practical. Please continue to be who you are, and don't be discouraged by us; we need you. And again, my sympathy and encouragement to you all from this past week.

Sincerely,

Parakeet

I cannot thank you enough for all the help I have gotten while I have been a member. Also everything I have learned. This is a great website that I am proud to be a member of. :)

I keep on coming back......AN is one of my first resources for nursing school. I have learned so much. Thank you.

I agree. Thank you for your patience, wisdom, and humor during nursing school. I spend more time here than on Facebook, and I find individuals who understand me a great deal more than some of my closest friends.

I just wanted to mention that I had not seen the full story of what happened to Mr. Short's family until today. I have tried to edit my posts as such, but somehow am unable to. I am terribly shocked and sad for his family and the staff of AN. Just an update on what I wrote previously.
