CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
i was in a simialar situation, i grad last year with my BA and couldnt find a job for anything!! I decided last fall that i wanted to go into nursing, I applied to an ADN program and was accepted only to find out that I would be placed on an 18 month waiting list for clinicals...that put me finishing sometime in late 07...so as a last resort I went to another college to check out their adult BSN program. The minute I stepped into the admissions office the staff was soo nice! My BA is from Ohio State which is the 2nd largest school in the US so I was not used to this treatment! The admissions officer told me that I should apply for their direct entry masters program...i went to talk to the admissions director (thinking IF i got in id start next May) and within an hour she had me signed up for classes starting in two weeks!!!! I start next week and its been so crazy, ive had to go through the whole application process in about a week:sending 3 transcripts, clearing up an old debt to an old college, writing the entrance essay, getting all my fin aid in order, taking cpr class, getting updated on all my shots and getting the records together, taking the GRE, passing an entracne test for Nutrition, change my current classes to night classes the day class started, and all the while I still ahve to finish my AP series and Micro (taking ap2 and micro now and ap3 in the summer).
its been so crazy but itll be worth it! Sooooo anyway i know how stressful it can be and if u want to talk just PM me!!! ALL SUPPORT HERE! You can do it and GOOD LUCK!

Hello everyone!
After waiting since 1/15 for a decision from my first choice accelerated 2nd bachelor's degree program, I received a crushing blow on 4/19 when I received a letter from UCF saying I had been waitlisted. I was absolutely crushed, I really thought I had a strong application (my prerequisite GPA is 4.0), so I was literally stunned. I've been in varying levels of highs and lows, telling myself "it's for the best". I still hadn't heard anything from my backup school, a regular 2 year ADN program. Anyway, THE call arrived this afternoon (as I was reading this forum!) saying they were offering me a position in the program! As it turns out, my sister-in-law works at the school that was my backup, and she accidently found out today that THEY accepted me as well (we have the same last name, so the committee member thought I was her daughter!) So in a matter of a few minutes, I went from not knowing what was going to happen, to having to actually CHOOSE between the two programs I applied to!
I have 3 finals next Monday and Tuesday and then I'm to report to UCF at 8am Wednesday for 3 days of orientation, and then classes start MONDAY 5/16!!! So now we suddenly find ourselves looking for a new home, an hour and a half away! Very stressful, but what a wonderful feeling!
I know I'm new, but I really wanted to share my experience with you all! If nothing else, to give hope to those who are placed on a waitlist, because you just never know, it COULD happen!!! I'm living proof!!!
