I'm about to give up looking, well, not yet but I'm this close to just scream out of my lungs to why it is this hard to just land a job. Anything, I don't care as long as an RN job. A particular area I'm looking for is Pensacola area. I applied to other states such as VA and AL so far none is on my way why? I applied on their websites and also attached my resume. I just don't know what else to do. Is there anyone with any job searching job for me? Did I not do something as anyone else do that is why I'm not even getting a phone call? I even walked into several hospital but they treat me as if I'm a nursing student...frustration. Help!

DJ1982,
I am sorry for ypur frustration I know it's a killer job market, but keep your head up. It is very difficult right now to find a job in North Florida in any field, but it will happen!! I am hoping the Job Market turns around in Pensacola, I am trying to get into Nursing School there in the fall! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Also, have you tried surrounding Hospitals like Ft. Walton Beach or Panama City? They may have some more open doors? Good Luck!!

We're on this same page. Passed the NCLEX last Dec 29, still looking for a job as an RN. Good luck to us, we just have to be patient. =)

It's not you or anything you did or didn't do, it's the economy. I graduated May 09, got licensed in Sept 09, have been applying to job after job for at least 4 monts with no calls, no interviews, nothing. I was just recently last week able to get a part time job. I'm looking for another part time one to make it one full time job. This may be the best way to get started. But p/t offers no benefits usually, but it's work and once your in somewhere the possibility of other positions or f/t will open up.
I know how stressed you are. I gained 10lbs I was so stressed out looking for work for months, student loans coming due, no job, feeling like I just wasted 3 years and $35k of my life down the drain. All I can tell you is that it takes several months in this economy to land a job as a new grad. Just tell yourself something will come along. You are certainly not alone, thousands of new nurses and experienced ones are out of work.
I did hear that Lee Memorial Hospital is hiring which I think is near Orlando/Tampa?
Have you been hired as an RN yet?
