  1. Hi, I was just reading your post. Sorry I can't help with the questions but how did you get hired by VA? I'm considering of applying myself for Pensacola; however, not sure how the processes go. I just graduated last year and got my license this Nov also last year. Do you think there will be an opportunity for me to be hired by them? Thanks! Hope you reply with some good answers :)
  2. Sam, do they hired new RN without any experience except training while in school?
  3. I'm about to give up looking, well, not yet but I'm this close to just scream out of my lungs to why it is this hard to just land a job. Anything, I don't care as long as an RN job. A particular area I'm looking for is Pensacola area. I applied to other states such as VA and AL so far none is on my way why? I applied on their websites and also attached my resume. I just don't know what else to do. Is there anyone with any job searching job for me? Did I not do something as anyone else do that is why I'm not even getting a phone call? I even walked into several hospital but they treat me as if I'm a nursing student...frustration. Help!
  4. I just moved from FL last month and I'm a new grad from there. I'm also waiting for my ATT to come in mail so I could make an appointment to test here in VA. In the meantime I would like to get a GN job somewhere here, but everywhere I look so far all they need is experience and a license. It's very discouraging. I'm new at this, really new at this game, so please could anyone guide me or give me some advice on what to do? I've looked into Bon Secours job listings and they do have a new grad position posted there, but I'm not sure if that even valid or something I should persued. Please help anyone?
  5. Hello, I hope there will be some answers for me here since you probably have been through of what I'm going to through right now after graduation. Here is the issue, I'm graduated from one of the nursing schools here in FL but I'm moving to another state and currently taking my Kaplan prep. I will be in virginia in about a week after the Kaplan. In the meantime I caught in between whether or not should I take it here in FL or in VA the state that I will be residing in the near future. What really worries me is that what if the testing is different? Well, does NCLEX vary from state-to-state or they are standardized everywhere? Does it really matter which state I decide to take the NCLEX board in? Are the test the same format? I know it is a silly question but I'm trying to gather information as much as I could before making the decision. Thanks for your help
  6. Hi, thanks for your respond. I'm looking mainly at the Chesapeake, VA beach, and Norfolk area. I'm looking to get into Med-Surg first before getting into anything else. According to you that doesn't sound too good
  7. Hi, I'd posted previously but no one answered me. Thus, I'm trying again. I'm moving to Norfolk, VA in two weeks. Just graduated from a nursing school, have not yet taken NCLEX. I'll be looking for a job when getting there. My question is where should I start as a GN. I'm clueless yet nervous and scared at the same time. It's like stepping into the world of unknown. Please anyone, if you can help or any advice, suggestions at all? Thanks guys!
  8. Hello there. Here is my situation. I just recently graduated from a nursing school here in FL and I'm moving to Norfolk, VA. I am new to this and I have no idea how the job market is like in VA. Please anyone give me some insights of what I need to do or where to look for. I'd searched through online but most position need an RN licensed/experienced RN. I will not be able to take board for another month or two. Does anyone know if there is a GN program in certain hospital there that I can apply to in the mean time while waiting to take the board. Any inputs and information are greatly appreciated. Thank you. p.s. I need a job for real :)
