I did not like the ending at all. Why did they kill him if he wasn't hurting anyone, couldn't they call someone to come get it? How about luring him into a room and shutting the door? I dunno, I'm too sentimental I guess :crying2: .

I'm with you Jessica. I can't beleive they shot it dead either. They even say these bears aren't normally aggressive so why not just sedate it? It WAS an option they say. I would understand if no "trank" guns were handy but they were according to article so why not use them?

Sounds to me like the idea of " shooting them a bear " was more appealing. Gun happy &*#$#$!!!!

That bear wouldn't have been killed here. It would have been sedated unless it was exhibiting threatening behaviour. (standing up..waving paws...growling..advancing) Existing doesn't count. Bears aren't like lions who hide and pounce. You know in advance something will happen unless you're right up in it's face. Then it can swing at you.

Yes it could have hurt people but it wasn't exhibting this behaviour according to article. I'm going by what I read ok? :)
