A&P Studying

Published

Has anyone used a fake skeleton or any model like that to help you study? I've heard of some students using their kids or spouse with washable markers to mark on and make notes but has anyone used anything else?

I hadn't used 3D models, but I take every opportunity to recommend Khan Academy for studying nearly any science. Completely free, too!

They have a very good A&P section:

Hope it helps!

Instead of a spouse or child you can always point to them on yourself. Recite the names and characteristics that differentiate left from right and picture the bone or muscle in your head. I did this until I could, without notes, head-to-toe recall everything I needed to know. And during the exam I had what I used to study right with me! ;)

Does your school offer times to study in the anatomy lab?

For example, my school's anatomy lab has a few skeletons, bones, muscle, and organ models for students to come and take a look at and study them. I would go to the "open lab" where they had these models out and study the marking and what not.

Good luck with anatomy =)
