A&P and Micro together

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I just started my pre-req's for nursing. I was going for bio a few years back but wasn't into it because I didn't know where I wanted to take it, and therefore had no motivation to do well. My gpa really suffered so if I'm going to succeed in nursing I need to start raising that right away.

I don't need many classes outside of the nursing courses so to get a full 12+ credit semester I scheduled A&P and micro together, not having an clue that it maybe wasn't the best idea.

So now here I am a week into class, already studying non stop. I've even talked to my boss about going to prn from full time because let's be real, there's no way that was going to work out well.

Has anyone successfully done this? Is there any way I can get an A in both, taking them together. Or at least an A and a B?

I'm taking AP2 & Micro together over the summer at my CC. I bought the last edition (not the latest) of each book on Amazon and have been outlining and making notecards in prep for the classes. They start in two months and I'll be ready.

My advice is to keep up with your reading because catching up is a pain. I'm taking microbiology, a&p 2, and two other classes this semester and I'm doing well maintaining my 4.0 so far. I think it can only help you to challenge yourself like this to gain better time management skills that'll be really useful in nursing school. Good luck, you'll get the hang of it eventually!

I did AP2 & Micro together last semester, plus an arts class. I did just fine. I studied at least 4 hours a day. Finished with an A in AP2 and B in micro. I love the subject matter and I think that helped tremendously. It's very fascinating to me. Good luck! Keep up the hard work and it will pay off.
