I took Micro and A&P I together and did just fine. Of course, I was only taking a total of three classes that semester and not five. Good news is there's actually some overlap in the subject matter which helps reinforce what you're learning. Bad news is they are both time intensive classes with long labs (really like separate classes in and of themselves), so you'll have to be really good at organizing your schedule to make sure you don't fall behind. I would only do it with three other classes if I absolutely had to..
Does your scholarship go by class number or credit hours? If it goes by credit hours, Micro and A&P usually count as 4 each. You might be able to cut one of the classes and still be considered full time so you can keep your scholarship. I'd talk to your advisor and see what they say if you haven't already.
Good luck!
I am taking A&P and Micro right now. We are 5 weeks into class and are having our first test. This test won't be so bad because you basically cover the same stuff in each class; chemistry, macromolecules, enzymes ect. but a few classes are different. From now on though, the classes are going to be talking about different things and we cover a lot of material. The problem I am having is doing the lab reports in Micro. This week we have 5 to write up!!
That takes up a lot of my time.
Good luck.
Some people can handle it, but imo A&P + Micro with 3 other classes is a pretty big load. The 3 classes may in fact be easy, but even easy classes can require a lot of reading and BS work (especially humanities classes). Ultimately only you know what you can handle...if you have excellent time management skills maybe you can pull it off, but realize now that you wont have a life outside of school work. Most people consider A&P or Micro (or both) to be the hardest pre req class they take. Many have to retake it. A girl in my class last semester passed nursing class but failed A&P and was held back, it was heartbreaking. I was strongly discouraged by my advisor to take both at the same time and I'm glad I didn't.
Explore your options...talk to your financial aid counselor, see what can be done about the scholarship or if there is another means of financial aid you can utilize. Talk to your course adviser and see if you can't work out a not so intense class schedule. If you really think you can handle it though, then make the commitment and go for it.
You will most likely be able to take both, just focus, spend a lot of time studying, and if you can, join study groups. I took both over the summer so they were only 6 weeks long. I had class every day for 4 hours each! Got A's in both, so a whole semester should be perfect as long as you commit to it!

Would I be able to handle both in next spring. I need to take 5 classes to keep my scholarship so I will be taking 3 easy classes with it. Is it possible?
