I took both A&Ps first, and at my school microbiology is taught assuming you have already had both. I'm in micro now, and there's definitely some info that is familiar but overall, I think having taken Chemistry before the biology classes has gotten me the farthest, particularly in understanding different types of bonds and chemical behavior of certain elements and in understanding acids, bases and buffers really well.
I took Micro first and i kinda regret it. In my opinion anatomy and physiology are easier to learn - basically memorization. Micro you have to actually learn like a new language - learn actual concepts. That being said - I got a B in micro and and A in A&P - i think if i would have taken A&P first then i would have done better in micro:nuke:

I am trying to plan ahead for the next semester of pre-reqs. My school uses GPA competition to get accepted to the program. Only 120 spots per semester, they start from 4.0 and work down until they are filled. I am trying to pace my classes to keep a 4.0 GPA to ensure my acceptance. I was wondering which is a better class to take first, A&P or Microbiology?
