My nursing advisor informed me fall 2005 semester they're starting their A&PI & II biterm course and this is when i'll be taking it. Anyone heard of this before and do you think it's doable?? BTW our A&P are paried within the same class.

I'm not certain I understand your post, but....
If you are saying that you are taking A&P I and II back to back in the same semester, yes, it's doable.
I took A&P I and II over the summer before I started nursing school (two years ago), and completed both in something like 9 weeks. You really had to pay attention, and you couldn't miss a class, since that was like missing a week, but it was great.
It does help if you have some idea of what you are studying, and if you already have established a personal study/learning pattern.
This would not be the way to go if you are a fairly young student or have difficulties with classes in general.
Good luck!

Sorry I wasn't clear.....they are combining A&P I and A&P II in the same semester for Fall of 2005. So the 1st 8 weeks of the semester is I and the second 8 weeks is II. It's within the same semester. It's a bit-term course. Instead of taking A&P I 1st semester and A&P II the smester following. Hope this makes more sense. I've just never heard of a school doing tihs before and wondered how tough it would be????????
Looks like what I thought you meant was pretty close to what you meant.
Basically, you will be taking both courses during one semester, first one then two.
I took both courses across a summer (eight weeks rather than sixteen), first one, then two.
You can do it. Same deal as what I said. Basically, just don't get behind.
Good luck~

I took this kind of class in Jan.-May 2003. It was intense, with 8 weeks for A&P I and then after spring break we started A&P II. It can be done (I was working 48 hours per week at my job during this time, but I don't have kids or a boyfriend). However, I had already had A&P I a few years before, so part of it was a review. I got both classes over with and felt good about it. But I did get really ill from burning the candle at both ends.
Can you register and take "A&P I" in the spring or summer, then just take the "A&P II" separately, in the later part of the fall? That way you can know earlier in the year how you respond to A&P and whether it's feasible to condense A&P II into 8 weeks.
Good luck whatever you decide.
