I've read a lot about coloring books for A&P, and think that would really help me with studying. Does anyone have suggestions of which ones are the most useful and comprehensive? I haven't the faintest idea what to look for.
Thanks!

I bought Netter's Anatomy Coloring Book from Barnes & Noble for $20 and though I haven't opened it yet (shrink wrapped) I think it will be a useful tool. The pictures, for a lack of a better word, appealed to me, compared to other coloring books, and seemed like a good way to break down muscles, bones for memorization. It also has the option of downloading and printing the pictures to color instead of using the book, so if I was feeling really cheap, ideally I could just print off all the illustrations and leave the book untouched. Hopefully sell it used (though not filled in) to someone else for $10 or $15. But that seems like a lot of work. I think I'll just color in the book and not try to recoup on this particular book, lol!

Hi!
I have "The Anatomy Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit/Lawrence M. Elson (3rd edition). I plan to get the physiology book that goes along with the book. From what I've been told, and from reviews I've read, this book is really helpful. I picked my copy up from Amazon.com for like $13. I've thumbed through the book and I like that along with the coloring portion, there is an overview at the begining of each section, an explanation for everything you color, and some reviews. I also like that the pages are only one-sided, so you don't have to worry about a felt-tip marker bleeding through.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Kel. The Kapit/Elson book was one of many I was considering. It's nice to hear that there is a fair amount of additional information in the book.

I HIGHLY recommend an anatomy coloring book! I passed Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 with A's and I credit a lot of it to this book-- The Anatomy Coloring Book by Wynn Kapit / Lawrence M. Elson. I am a very visual learner, so when I'm coloring in the certain parts and matching them up with their names in my head, it kinda like imprints it in my brain (: So yes, definitely give one a shot..

has anyone used the Marieb coloring book??
I'd love to hear some feedback on that one as well. Marieb is the author of my A&P textbook, so my initial thought was to use this coloring book. But it's 3X the price of the Elson book, I'm just wondering if that price differential is justified.

AWESOME! I will have to check these out and hope I can purchase this on Amazon. I think I may even purchase two in hopes of having my DD color with me! LOL She is four, but if she can get a foundation for some of this at this age, I am going to go with it!
I am taking A&P 1 this summer and then A&P II this Fall.
I will be using the Marieb textbook to...I think it would be better to use the marieb coloring book as well. I was looking at the other coloring books and yes they are alot less money but the marieb coloring book has waaayy more pages.
Any one use this one??
