A&P 1 & other classes? schedule look like too much of a workload?

Published

I will be taking A&P 1 this Fall and I have added psychology 2301, BCIS 1305 and Philosophy 1301. I need 12 hrs for my financial aid. I am however, only planning on taking A&P in the classroom settings, all others are online. Any input would be great. I am a stay at home mom but my kids are in school till 4.

Should be alright if you can devote enough time to it. Philosophy can be a lot of reading so prepare yourself and don't forget to take some really great notes. There's a few resources like shmoop and sparknotes online that can help with some of the trickier readings. They're not a substitute for doing the actual reading though, but definitely great to use as a sort of 'translation' as you're using the notes alongside your assigned chapters.

A&P1 will require a lot of your time - don't be surprised if you need to devote at least 16hours of study per week to it alone. It's a lot of memorization but I think it's doable.

Be sure to maximize your time and block out study time. Not sure if you're just starting to do prereqs or have some under your belt already, but you know what kind of student you are (or will find out soon!) so adjust as you need to. :) And don't be afraid to get tutoring if you need it!

Good luck to you!

I decided to be a part time student. I can receive financial aid but not as much. However, I would rather be without some money than to possibly make a bad grade.

If you do part time this semester, you may find a good groove and decide that maybe next semester you could go full time.

This is doable. You just have to be focused. You should never take two sciences together. But your schedule looks fine.

Many of us have, with much success. It honestly depends on the student~
