Nurses General Nursing

I presently hold a masters in clinical psych from peppedine and a licensed psychiatric tech. this is out california. I have been in psych many years both I/p and o/p. am comfortable but bored. more than once I been encourage to look into an rn degree. I think the only thing holding me back is my age 56. I would appreciate comments. thanks

The question is what do you want to do? Age should not keep you from doing anything!! I think you would enjoy nursing school from the stand point of your degree. You also might find it easier than most because your brain is already programmed to think "medically". I say do what you feel the calling to do.

Just my opinion!!

Bob, you've received a lot of posts of support in the student forum where you posted this same question. There has been one idiotic post reply but all of the others tell you....If that's what you want to do, go for it!

I did what you are thinking about and it did NOT work out well for me. Only you can know whether you want to put the time and money and effort into getting your RN license. Read some more threads on this BB and think about whether you wish to join the disgruntled, angry, and frustrated.
