265.

On July 15th I failed the NCLEX at 260. I had to take a leave of absence from my job because my IP was terminated. I was a total wreck. But with the help of God and my friends I studied until the day of the exam which was on Monday. I once again took all 265 questions, totally devastated (cried, bawled and moped around). However, I told myself it was OK and that I was going to be OK and also that GOD was going to help me be OK. So this morning at 545am I got a call from one of my best girl friends and she told me I PASSED!!! :nurse::wink2:

Basically I want everyone to know that it is going to be OK! The test doesn't define you or what type of nurse you are going to be. The best nurses I've come across has taken the test at least twice! So don't be too down on yourself. GOD will take care of you in the end.

I really appreciate you sharing. I am so worried about going the whole 265 the next time around. I am trying to stay focused but it is definitely hard to focus when you don't know where you went wrong and what to study. If you are near passing in majority of your cateogories and below in two, I know I have a start. I just don't know how to apply myself accordingly. I am so happy for you and I look forward to posting my success story in the future. Congratulations!!

Thank you! I basically restudied from scratch as if I have not studied before. I made myself take 300 questions a day. Not in a row but total. I studied the Hurst book and borrowed a CD from my friend. It's called Prentice Hall Nursing NCLEX-RN Test Prep. I gave myself breaks, when I felt I was getting tired or nothing was sinking in I stopped. I studied everyday from 8-7 with an hour break every couple of hours. I took notes, I wrote what down what questions I got wrong when I was practicing. It's OK if you take the whole test again it just means that you were in the game. Even if the way i studied doesn't work for you, you will find a way and WHEN you pass the next time it will all be worth it! I wish you the best!

Congratulations! I also passed on my second try last week. Like you, i got all 265 questions! i was drained and i felt like my head would break up anytime. It was really tiring, right? I didn't thought of passing that exam.

I even started to answer questions a day after the exam. But God didn't allow me to take it again,I passed! It was the most wonderful feeling ever!:nurse:

Today was my second time taking it (the first time I failed at 75!). This time 265, feeling awful until I seen all the posts here. I'm a nervous wreck, hate working as an aide, and everyone knew I was testing today. I can't think about anything else. Soooo worried.:crying2::confused::confused::confused::confused::crying2:

Thanks for the advice. Now go an celebrate, you have earned it. As for me, I will be studying until I take it again. I appreciate the support more than you know. You are actually the first person to reply to one of my posts. God bless you and congratulations again.

I've been where you are now. Whenever they ask me how it went...do i think i passed. I always answered, i failed.

The hope in me that i passed was so little. I felt 101% sure i failed. but getting all the way to 265 was something to be thankful for. It only means, i understand something about nursing.

I prayed a lot and asked for a miracle to happen because at the back of my mind i know i failed.

Miracle happend, i passed on my second try with 265 questions! So don't lose hope. Pray hard.. It's all in God's hands now. God is full of surprises, He might surprise you with good news. :wink2:

How did you do? Sorry it took me back to reply to these posts. I finally went back to work! Remember when you take 265 questions it means that you were in the game the entire time and just confusing the crap out of the computer! I hope it all went well!!
