Hello,

I am thinking of moving to WI from out of state. I am an experienced RN with ICU and tele experience 7 years. I was wondering what the pay rate is going for right now at CSM, or else heck I would be interested in knowing what the rest of MKE is paying as well. I need to know if making this move would be a good financial move for me in terms of the cost of living compared to where I am now. Any help or advice is appreciated! Thanks!!

Madison pays 30 plus at all hospitals........Milwaukee is in mid to high 20s

Thanks. Yeah, I heard that Madison pays new grads around $29/hr so do you think maybe around $32ish for a nurse with experience in MKE? Anybody know how much more per hour Per Diem make? Sorry, not trying to sound money-hungry here but it is important to know when making important life changes;) Thanks!

Depends who the employer is in Milwaukee. Aurora does a scale that is based on experience plus they rate your compentency. Every year or 2 your able to be evaluated by a committee by writing up a patient experience and how your handeled it. If they approve you to move up a competency, then you get a raise in hourly wage. If you are applying there, you should contact their HR and ask where you'd fit initially, based on your experience.

I'm not familair with Froedtert's pay, but folks I've known at Aurora who have left for Froedtert were getting paid more.

Wheaton is similar to Aurora.

I work at CSM and our pool RNs get paid 34 per hour. I have been a nurse for 3 yrs and am making $28 on days with no differential. We have had A LOT of RNs come to work for us from other facilities bc pay is less at froedtert and aurora. Wheaton pays well in MKE as well as my husband makes as much as me and has been a RN a year less.
