Clinicals-fox Valley Tech

In the first year of the ADN program at FVTC about how much time is spent in clinicals? What time of day do the clinicals typically take place? I am just basically wondering if I would be able to work part time and ballance school. I know I can take a lot of the core classes on line, but I just wonder about the clinicals. I know NWTC has a lot of the clinicals starting in the afternoon.

Thanks in advance for any input.:p

I graduated in May 2007 from FVTC. Most of the clinicals were 7-11 in the first year and 6 or 7-1 or 2 in the second year. There was a few that had afternoon clinical but you took a chance on if you would get into that one or not. I worked a part time day job but I had a very flexible schedule. I could work whenever.

Hi I am currently a pre-nursing major at UW Oshkosh and was thinking of transfering to Fox Valley Tech. I have talked to many nurses who have graduated from Fox Valley (one of which is going back to obtain her BSN) and she tells me that the difference between a two year and a four year is that the two year offeres more experience in lab/clinicals. Is this true? Also I was wondering if anyone who is or currently attending or has graduated from Fox Valley Technical college can give me some more input/ their opinion on how the nursing program went for them. I like to hear the good and the bad. Thanks much!:wink2:
