What are WGU's clincals like?

I would like to know what the clinicians are like with in the DFW area. I see that they expect you to work 3, 12 hour shifts in 1 week and 2, 12 hours another week. Along with a 1 hour commute each way, this seems like too much. This is the part of nursing school that worries me the most. How am I going to make it through 3, 16 hour days?

Well, honestly - those clinicals more closely resemble an RN's actual work environment than anything else I've seen. I think it's WAAAY better training that a couple of four hour shifts twice a week. And I know that in the pre-licensure program, you work with the same practicing nurse for each shift - so you get to know the nurse, and probably get to do a LOT more than when there are six student on the floor at the same time.
