I am looking at for January 2015 for their MSN program. I am interested in feedback on the competency based program. Any feedback is appreciated!

It's a good program. I completed the BSN two years ago, and will be done with the MSN next spring. There are lots of threads all over this forum that have great information. Good luck in your decision!

I started at the first of this month. I am almost finished with two classes. The assignments do provoke higher level thinking which should be the goal of any grad program. What are your career goals?

My goal is to obtain my MSN so that I have opportunities beyond my current career as a staff nurse in psych. I do not want to become a Nurse Practitioner in Psych or anything else. I would love to be able to teach, so I am leaning toward the MSN in nursing education.

Remember that you can teach with a masters degree in leadership. However the education track may be more relevant for you.

The OP is right but if you are enrolling in the program with a plan to 'teach', the MSN education curriculum is more suitable.
