WGU MSN Leadership & Management

Nursing Students Western Governors

Published

Hi all!

After many months of putting this off, I've decided to get my MSN! I'm a ball of nerves and excitement. My start date is 5/1/13. Anybody with me? :cat: ... and on a subsequent note, anyone gone through this particular program? Any pearls of wisdom?

Marycarney,

I was wondering if you have any pointers on becoming an Evaluator at ? I recently completed my MSN and am hoping to get hired as an adjunct somewhere that will allow me to utilize my degree (this degree is not required for my current job nor am I compensated for completing it). I recently submitted an application for the Evaluator, Nursing position but did not know how best to ensure I am chosen to even interview. TIA.

Hi Ackie,

How is the program going? I'm starting March 1st and am super excited! How did your first term go?

Erin, CMSRN

Could you please send me more info on the evaluator position.

I did the MSN Eduation Specialist last year (just a couple of courses are different from the Leadership/ Management). Completed in 11 months 5 days. EXCELLENT program - I now work part-time for WGU as an evaluator.

Could you send me more info on this position

Any update on how the program was and if you recommend?

I have applied to this program at and I am trying to decide between University of MD and WGU. WGU would take half the time to complete and cost about 1/5 of the what MD would cost. I guess I am just mildly nervous about the "big name" of MD when compared to the lesser known WGU. Did you find it difficult to obtain a job concentrating in your MSN degree from WGU? That is my only fear.
