Hi! I need to take statistics and biochemistry; anyone who has taken either class through , would you mind sharing what you thought of class? I am math/graph/excel challenged and I have been dragging my feet signing up for stats. Help Amber

Since I'm in the same boat and considering starting in a couple of months I'll second that question.

WGU's stats course was primarily filled with concepts and definitions. It involved virtually no math or calculations. Although math is my weakest subject by a long shot, I was able to complete this course in four weeks.

The biochemistry course consisted of five PowerPoint presentations that you had to create. At times some of the assignments, such as creating a lipid model with gummy bears and toothpicks, felt somewhat childish. I completed this course in three weeks.

Thanks, were there quizzes/tests that needed proctored for stats as well as biochemistry?

The statistics course pass/fail grade was based off the one proctored objective assessment, a.k.a. final exam.

The biochemistry course's grade was based off the five performance assessments, a.k.a. the five PowerPoint presentations that you will need to submit. This course entailed no proctoring.

Thanks so much, now if only I could get my application done a nd sent....I am having issues with the site and process so I need to call them and get it figured out before heading to work....ugh!
