I'm starting the BSN to MSN in Leadership & Management! I've completed everything in the admissions process except the financial aid part. It's still processing.

Specializes in Labor and Delivery; Neurosciences.

I just applied tonight while at work, completed my FASFA, and put in a request for my official transcripts to be sent over to them. I hope to begin in July (But probably more realistically in August). I am doing the RN-to-MSN in Leadership and Management. My job requires a BSN within four years of the promotion that I accepted in February, and I figured I would just "go big or go home" since I know I want to end with at least an MSN (I would like to eventually work higher up within management and administration). I don't have any children, and I work full time nightshift. I am hopeful that I will maintain motivation and drive so that I can plow through this whole program in less than two years in order to focus on my personal life (settling down, marriage, kids, etc), but we'll see how it goes once I get my feet wet and begin coursework.

I'm currently waiting on the results of my transcript evaluation. Anxious. How long did it take for transcript eval?

I literally just got accepted and my transfer eval is complete!!!!! Okay so I'm not sure what will help, but I see lots of posts where people talk about what transferred. So it says on the eval there is 150 total competecy units in the program, and I have 67 remaining in my program...so that makes 83 units that have been completed by my prior classes!!!!!!!!!!! It says I have about 55% of my program already completed. When I was in LPN school, my sciences expired, so as soon as I graduated, I was already enrolled in another college retaking A&P, adding Human Growth, and Micro, because I knew I'd need them for RN school, which I got accepted into right after!! I took additional classes I figured would fulfill requirements for future education. IT HAS TOTALLY PAID OFF. I am eager to get started July 1!!!!!! Now, to get the background check completed! It's a happy day everyone!!!

Hoping to start in July too!

Hello Erin!! I am up for a promotion at one of my jobs and I definitely want to pull the trigger and pursue my goals! I didn't however think it'd be leadership and management! It's amazing how things work out!! I love the parallels between your journey and mine. I recently started a new job at the end of February and was offered a promotion 3 weeks later. I have so many routes I would like to travel upon and this degree and experience will help provide that mobility. You can definitely do it! I am married with children and have been getting education while simultaneously building a family. I am grateful to have an amazing support system. I know that you can do this and I hope we can draw motivation and encouragement from each other.

Hoping to start in July too!

Glad to have you Brooke! I definitely can't wait to get this journey started!
