Just Finished WGU RN-BSN

Nursing Students Western Governors

Updated:   Published

Hello all, just wanted to post a thread about Western Governor's RN-BSN in case anyone was considering going. I absolutely loved, loved, loved the program. I seriously have nothing bad to say about it. I had a wonderful experience with them and I would recommend their program to anyone who is looking to go back for their BSN. I finished the program in 10 months. I should have finished it in less time than that, but I started procrastinating at the end. If your considering attending , go for it. You won't regret it.

Congrats!! I start my BSN-RN Jan. 1. I have 40CU to complete and my goal is one term. I hope I can stay motivated enough to meet my goal.

How many CEUs did you need when you started?

Hi Tara, I hope all is well! I'm about to start on 12/1 and I had a few questions. Is there any way you could send me a PM? Unfortunately I don't have enough posts to send a PM. Thanks in advance!

I'll be glad to pm you and answer any questions.

Thanks Tara! I tried to reply to your PM, I hope it went through but I don't think it did. I hate to impose but it would be great if you could email me at drwilli456/yahoo/com, if you don't get my PM. Be well!

Can anyone give insight into the 90 hour requirement for community health? What did you do to complete it? I'm trying to figure out how to schedule it so I can finish in the first term.

You are in California according to your profile. California has different, more involved community health practicum requirements than the rest of the states.

I'm not in CA anymore ?

I did mine on HIV prevalence. I did a lot of interviews with the health department, the local college health center, key members of the community, physicians and nurses at the job clinic that serves the area, church clergy, support groups, and just various other sites. Use the CDC and WHO website for data if you are doing it on a specific disease process.

do you think I would be able to do something like the effects of the pandemic on mental health? and just interview people in the community, nurses, doctors, managers etc?
