I have been reading many of the threads regarding and I like what i see. Definitely looking at trying for my BSN and possibly MSN. My question is in regards to financial aid for the program. I received Pell Grant funds for my ADN. Would I likely still be eligible for financial aid to continue for my BSN? I know MSN does not qualify, but am hoping to get some help for the BSN. Thanks in advance!

You could easily find out by filling out the FAFSA. After you fill it out, there is an estimate of Pell grant eligibility, loan eligibility, etc.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that, but have a coworker who's Pell Grant application stated he was eligible, but when he went to the actual college, they stated he was not eligible d/t receiving some aid prior. So I was just wondering what individual experience was.

Perhaps your coworker had a previous BA/BS degree which rendered him ineligible to receive Pell grants toward yet another BS degree?

I got Pell grant for but everyone has a different situation and background. I would speak with a financial advisor from the school.

Thank you for the replies. But no, unfortunately that is not the case. He only had an LPN certificate and was returning for his RN. I guess I just need to talk to the FA advisor. Was just hoping someone had some insight. Thanks again.
