Last week's Grey's Anatomy showed a male and female being put into the same room d/t the patients "bad" behaviors. Would this ever happen at your facility?

No . .. it was against the tv hospital's policy too . . but they did it anyway.

Stevie,

I understood it was against policy even on TV, but the question is what would have to happen in your facility for opposite sexes to share a room? I was sort of hoping for some funny answers. Like a male and a female sharing the same first name and the clerk hitting the wrong letter for sex.

Come on people, we need to laugh.

Maybe if it was a really pretty man... and someone got confused. Or maybe a transexual or drag queen. :) That would be funny.

We put males and females in the same room all the time. We have some private, semi-private and quad rooms (maybe that is why) I was surprised when I started working there.

Wouldn't mind if it were myself and McDreamy......

Or the 78yo dirty old man who chuckles every time he manages to wake you up with his obnoxiously loud gastric events.

Hey Cat 84,

Sounds interesting.....I guess I am just too behind the times to really accept a male room-mate over 12.LOL!

Hello nurz2be,

McDreamy is OK. But John Carter is still sexier to me. Hawkeye too. Who remembers the Chad Everett character with his tailored scrubs?

I just wish Sam Elliott would have been a doctor in something but I settle for "Lifeguard."

Hey Wolf,

Around here we're oftan entertained by the physicians loud gastric event. You would be surprised how rude and crude some of them are.

We occassionally have males and females sharing a double room in stepdown, in a pinch, but it usually gets fixed asap. Once in awhile, we'll have a husband and wife share a semi on the floor. I wasn't there, but I'm told we've had husbands ask not to share a room with their wives...

Hello Mike,

Yes, I could agree with the fellow, I do not want to share a room with hubby if ill.
