Does anyone know how long it takes for WA to post your license after NCLEX? I called, and they have everything they need except NCLEX, which I took today.
Merci beaucoup!

I won't work for an agency as a new grad, I'd apply at LTC as a last resort. I've had an eye on Seattle Children's, no jobs open to new grads since I graduated, but I'll keep looking. What's Providence?

Providence is another hospital network covering Oregon, Wa and some other areas. I have done all of my clinical with them. I only have a students perspective, but I've had great experiences. Providence.org is the website. :)
Edited to add: if you're not committed to the west side of the state, send me a PM. I'm in the Spokane area. We aren't as big as Seattle, but we have a children's hospital and some very nice facilities here. I miss Seattle, but Spokane has become home and is a close second. :)

sgarcia14 - lol'ing at myself. Read your comment from my phone and thought NYGirl asked me if I worked at Providence... silly me. :)
Yes, kalycat, I am officially expanding my search to Yakima, Spokane, and the planet Mars. I am getting nowhere fast and it's very depressing.
I'm looking at Providence now. Thanks for the link. And thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I sent you a message with some details. Good luck!!

For future NCLEX takers: My license went life ~3 hours after I completed the exam. I tested in Seattle, WA in July 2014, finished a bit after 9am. RN license went active on WaDoH around noon.
NewYorkerGirl: I just wanted to suggest PeaceHealth. They have hospitals all over WA. Examples below.
Alaska: PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center
Washington: PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center, PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, PeaceHealth United General Medical Center
Oregon: PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Community Medical Center, PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center, PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center University District
Just a quick follow up on this to add my experience. I took my nclex on a Monday at 8 am, finished at 9, and had an active WA license by 2pm the same day. I tested in Eastern WA. I know there's not too many Spokane area folks on the board, but just wanted to pass that along for future testers.

Hi - I know this is an old thread. But can anyone tell me how long it took them to apply to take the NCLEX in Washington? I mean from time submitting application to time authorized to take the NCLEX? Thanks!

It only took me 3 days from paying for my exam until I received my authorization to test.
Awesome! We are super backlogged here in Cali so I'm applying to WA because I have a possible job there anyway.
I'm out of state so I know I have to do the fingerprinting card and all that so hopefully I can get it done quick to test by end of August/beginning of September! Thanks again!
