Anyone applying to the UW SoN for fall 2013? Anyone else FREAKING OUT about it like I am?

You won't need to bring very much to clinicals. Just your uniform, care plan, badge & name tag, stethoscope, penlight, lunch, and some supplies that you collect along the way. A regular backpack will be more than adequate.
As for bringing textbooks to class, you don't need to. That is, unless you are planning to study in the library afterward. There were a few students that use rolling bags but this is more for comfort, not because they bring their books everyday. Forget about it, most of the time it will not even be useful to have your book in class (or so I found). You will, hover, need your book(s) for LAB and your physical assessment class (also in lab).

For the BG check, do we need to e-mail in anything or do they just access our checks online? Thanks!

They check the background checks themselves. Don't worry too much about compliance, everyone in the SON is very nice, and as long as you turn everything in you don't even have to worry about it. If there's anything missing they'll let you know about it so you can send it.

Did ya'll get the HIPAA training email yet, telling us that our HIPAA training account is activated?
Also as a starting nursing student for this fall (17 credits), what is the estimated tuition and fees cost without financial aid? Is it around $5,000? I need your guys' input please.
please accept me into the facebook group- iulia repede.thanks
Looked for you but didn't find you on facebook. You can send me a private message on here with your e-mail and I'll try to find you :)
So two more questions about the BG check. I noticed that the code that I used, was the same code listed on the "update" code list, but I am a first yr student for the BSN program. But this was the code listed under the verified credentials instructions for first time students. Was the code the same for both 1st and 2nd yr students? Also, under the same instructions it says make sure to provide supporting documentation, but I was not asked to provide any. Am I the only one who didn't provide supporting documentation? Thanks guys!
