Skagit Valley Fall 2017 Cohort?

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hello all! I wanted to start this topic for anyone who may be applying for the Fall 2017 cohort at Skagit Valley College. I sent my application in a few weeks ago, so the waiting is killing me considering results do not come out until July! But, I am just wondering what you all are going in with and if there is any advise regarding this school and their acceptance requirements. Good luck to you all and I look forward to reading your posts!

I haven't received anything yet. Do you know how early they may come? I really hope we don't have to wait till the 31st!!

We should know this week

Sitting, hoping, wishing, waiting..............

Anybody else posted at their mailbox waiting for the mail truck?! Ugh! This wait is killing me!!!! Hopefully today :-D

I Hope so!! I think my mailman might think I have a crush on him... hahaha,

First off, no letter yet, has anyone heard anything yet? But, I have a question for you all. Have you guys looked into your immunizations? I did a titer and it came back as negative for Hep B, so now I am worried that will keep me from starting the program if I do get accepted. I emailed one of the advisers, but I have not heard back from anyone yet. Where are you all at with immunizations?

I applied to everett and they make you have all your immunizations finsihed before you can even apply. Hep B takes a while but I imagine if you start now you should be OK. I wonder if we even have clinicals the first quarter? Do you mean negative as is you are not immune and need to start the process?

That's how is was in Ca, but when we moved Wa I noticed it was not required until acceptance, so I let it slip my mind. Now I am freaking out! Everett was a little too far for me to travel everyday, I am in Oak Harbor, so I did not apply there. Have you heard from them yet? I have heard they have a good program and they offer the BSN-RN program there on campus!

I didn't get accepted! Kind of a bummer but that's why I'm hanging oooon to Skagit! I think you'll be ok, as long as you are getting started. Sometimes they'll just make you do the first two & get a titer . I was able to do that but I think it may have only been because I got the HepB shot as an infant as well

Awe, that is a bummer, I'm sorry! Well, you definitely have a good chance for Skagit! Hopefully tomorrow's the day!!!

I also applied to skagit for Fall 2017, I'm relieved to find out that i'm not the only one who has not recieved a letter yet!
