Anyone applying for Bellevue College nursing 2013-2014 program?!

Hello!

I am applying this February for the Bellevue College RN program for 2013-2014, I just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there that is applying for that time period as well?!

Where else is everyone applying?! Anyone taken the TEAS yet?

Oh Bambino! You're enthusiasm is inspiring :-) I'm getting pretty pumped, too. More excited and less terrified every day. Now if I can just keep everything else in my life from completely falling apart LOL I'm eager for the 17th to just get here already! I want to know everything all at once!! Haha

Congrats Danielle!

Anybody going to be in the CPR class this Saturday? I have to renew it so my certification doesn't expire before fall starts. Anyway, I'll be there bright eyed and bushy tailed! :-)

I got my call yesterday confirming my spot for Winter quarter!!! I am so extatic I don't know what to do with myself! I can't wait to start this exciting and also terrifying capter of my life! Hope its not as bad as some people make it out to be. But I'm ready, bring it nursing school!

Anyone planning to work full time during the program? Has anyone heard how "doable" that is?

I just got an acceptance call this morning for Winter quarter! Lost my mind with emotions and happiness! I look forward to meeting you Leah!

Congratulations!!!

Hey Friends! I found this nifty guide for getting your BC email on your smartphone and I thought I'd share it with y'all :)

Connect your mobile device to Bellevue College email

It worked for me and is much easier than waiting until I get home to remember to check it. Maybe its old news for you, maybe not, I thought I'd share anyway! See you Fall Folks on Monday!

thank you!! that was really helpful!

SCRUBS!!

This is what I've found: if you go to the acorn website and put the style numbers from our handout in it, you will find chef pants. Very nice, but not really what we're looking for. What you have to do is select the Cherokee brand logo and THEN put the style numbers into THAT search box, and our stuff will show up there. Then you just scroll till you find our color :) Also, our handout calls the jacket a "meta lab coat" but when you put the style number in the search box (the Acorn search box, not the Cherokee specific search box) it brings up a short white coat they call the "consultation" coat. I'm sure that's the one.

As soon as somebody takes the plunge and gets the embroidery done, let us know!

(My goodness, are we going to be busy or WHAT?!)

Thanks for the tips! I think I'm going to go into the actual store to order as they also have the shoes I intend to get (the nursemate shoes are amazing!)

I am so glad we have so much time to prep! I started the VA online registration stuff and it seems once you sign in, you have 5 days to do some sort of training. If I read correctly, it can take 4 hours! Wow!

Also, I intend to get in touch with Lisa or Chie as many of our required books have more recent editions than those listed. Has anybody asked about that yet? $500+ in my Amazon shopping cart right now with the older editions! I'm curious if we'll have such humongous book lists each quarter or if this list covers most of the basics.

Also, Danielle! If I'm not mistaken, we met yesterday in the parking area...twice!

Hey Everyone! I was wondering if someone that has their book list already could maybe post it? I have a friend who graduated and she offered her books, so I wanted to see if I could use any of hers. I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Hey everybody! I just wanted to give people a head's up if anybody is reading this thread anymore that Elsevier currently has a 20% off sale on our books, so I found that for all the Elsevier books except the Mosby's one, they had the cheapest option. I bought all the books new as most of them have newer editions than those listed on our sheet and in an email with Lisa, she recommended we get the newest editions, therefore it can be tough to find used copies.

On that note, Leah, I'd probably wait on the books until your orientation time, if possible. I could see the list changing between now and then.

Someone asked a while back to post the ISBN's for the list of books we got in that handout, so here goes!

9780323071505

9780323065801

9780323055444

9780323057479

978080362718 or 0803627181

978032091510

9780803627796

I don't have time to do the titles and authors right now, but I'm pretty sure those are all right. Certainly makes it easier for the copying and the pasting :)

Thanks for the tip on Elsevier missamelissy! I hope they still have a sale when I get some money together! I'm glad we have some time before fall starts to collect some of these expenses....

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying our last summer before the crazy!

I also have a spot for Winter!! Did you decide yet whether or not you're going to attend Seattle Central or Bellevue? - Whitney
