U.S.A. Washington DC

Hello!

Does anybody knows what is the salary for an RN with one year experience in med/surg at washington medical center in d.c or georgetown medical center? what are the shift differentials?

Thanks!

Specializes in None yet, but O.R. intrigues me.

I'm getting the new grad rate at WHC, which is $26.70/hour. You probably can't count on too much more than that with just one year of experience.

Sorry, I can't tell you about the shift differentials because I don't understand them! My check is always different and there are multiple rates displayed for day/evening/holiday/OT/on-call....

If you go to NursesUnited website (the WHC nurses union), they break down the differentials quite nicely.

Thanks Zahryia for the website!

I understood the differentials, but i don't quite understand how each step works. Is it after 3 years that you get a base pay of 27?

Sorry, I don't understand how that works either. I thought the starting salary for new grads or Clin Nurse I's was 27.63 or something like that.

Thanks for the reply Zahryia!
