George Washington ABSN Fall 2014

I just submitted my application to GWU for the ABSN program that will start in the Fall of 2014 and wanted to start a thread for it. Has anyone else applied recently? If so, has anyone heard early from admissions?

I applied! No word yet, and I doubt any for a while. I did get an email saying they would be reviewing applications in the next two weeks (this being the second week now) and would be in contact, whatever that means. It might've meant letting us know if stuff was missing, because I got an email about a missing letter of rec (which I was already on top of).

Did you apply anywhere else, out of curiosity?

I also applied to GWU, but haven't heard a single thing from them since I applied.

Thanks for starting the thread, I have followed the others just to get a timeline for when we should expect to hear back. It looks like mid-March of 2013 was when others starting to receive acceptance emails. I applied to JCHS in Roanoke and didn't get accepted, but the feedback was vague and not very accurate as to why I didn't. Best of luck to you all!

I also applied to U of Virginia, MUSC, U of Maryland, and OHSU. I got put on a wait list for Uva and haven't heard back from any of the others yet. It looks like most people on other threads received an email from GW a few days after submitting their application, but I still haven't heard anything and it's been almost 2 weeks. It'd be nice if we started hearing mid March - that's right around the corner!

I got that email (and another that a letter of rec was missing), and it was through NursingCAS -though was there any other option besides NursingCAS?

I submitted my application to nursingcas three or four weeks ago. Early last week nursingcas emailed me to let me know that my application was processed and submitted to GWU. About two days later GWU emailed me to let me know that they received my application, that preliminary review would begin shortly, and that they would update me in two weeks. I guess that the next step is either the admissions board or a rejection. I think they do rolling admissions, so everyone's timetable is different. Good luck, everyone! :)
