Hello :) THIS IS A BRAND NEW THREAD for TCC's up and coming classes in January and March, 2013.

I am starting this thread to help me get through the waiting game. I just finished my HESI yesterday, and turned in my application today. Now the LONG wait begins. I would like to get into the Jan or Mar cohorts. Does anyone know when they actually begin?

I was surprised to have chemistry on the HESI--because it isn't required for the program. My scores were good though...all within the 92-100 range. It took me FOREVER to do the test. 223 minutes!

How about everyone else? What did you think of the HESI?

For anyone that has been accepted to the August 2013 start, I have made a facebook page for us. Just search Tidewater Community College Nursing 2013 Cohort 1 and it should pop up for you. That way we can keep in touch and update each other with important dates, etc.

I am planning to apply for Spring 2015 and I am curious what some of you that got in scored on your HESI?? I know that you only need 45% to apply but I'm assuming that is not what students who are actually accepted are getting! So what did y'all get??

Thank you! Did you get in with an 84%?? If so congratulations!!! I got a 77.55 last time i took it. Hoping to do better next time! The chemistry and biology section really hurt me, I aced the A&P section. I'm nervous about getting in!

Question. What month/year would you be graduating if you start classes in Cohort #3-January OR Cohort#4-March 2015? I am planning to apply in July 2014 for 2015 Spring Start. Any info would be greatly appreciated! =)

If you start in Jan 15, you will finish in October 16. If you start March 15, you will finish in December of 16.

Hesi entrance exam, most everyone in my cohort (we graduated in OCT) have scores in the 90's and A's on all the sciences.

And actually, I'm pretty sure they are going to a 4 semester program instead of the 18 month setup we just finished. So if that's the case. if you start January '15, you'd be done May '16.
