Student Applying to NVCC For Nursing Program Starting in Fall 2013

Hi Everyone!

I really wanted to begin a thread about NVCC's Nursing Program due to begin in Fall 2013 (Applications are due May 2013). I am starting my pre-reqs in January, because I have been in school elsewhere. I know it will be tight to get them completed in time to apply, but I want to be considered in time for the Fall 2013 program.

For anyone who has applied and been accepted to NVCC's nursing program, or for anyone who plans to in May, will you tell me what your credentials were (GPA, TEAS score, any certifications etc)? As in, if you could describe the perfect nursing school application, what would it include?

I want to do this right! Any support/insight is great.

I got my letter too:nurse:, I am so happy..... but confused on the orientation date. It said Wednesday July 22, but July 22nd is a Monday. I hope is Monday, because I bought a Disney vacation and we are to leave on Tuesday July 23.

Congratulations dulcelpn!! I'm also a bit confused about the orientation date on the letter. Oh well, I guess this will get clarified soon

FYI I also received an email today stating that I have been provisionally accepted to the traditional nursing program. The mandatory student orientation session on Wednesday, July 22nd must be a mistake. They probably meant Wednesday, July 24th since it was held on a Wednesday last year.

Hi guys. I've been following this thread. Congratulations to everyone who got in. I was wondering if everyone got the email the same day since I'm still hoping and praying to get mine. I applied to the LPN-RN track. :-(

the letter was dated today, if that helps, and i opened my email around 8:40 this morning.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!! If I can be of any help to anyone just let me know I will be a senior in the fall and the second year students helped us first years ALOT in the beginning, so I am here if you need me even if you just need to chat, this is a very exciting time enjoy the moment I know I did last year!!!! :-)

I just called and spoke to [moderator edit of name] as well. He confirmed that the orientation is on Monday July 22nd he said that he sent a f/u e-mail but I never got that second e-mail. Did everyone get the second e-mail.
