Who is planning on applying for the JTCC programs for Fall, 2016?

I'm only applying to the hybrid track (thanks to my little kiddos at home, lol)!

Does anyone know if it's advantageous to apply to only one track or two both?

I applied to the spring 2016 semester for hybrid only. I was thinking about applying to both programs because I wanted to get in the nursing program so badly. However, from what I understand in info session, there is not an advantage to applying for both. Truthfully, the hybrid would work much better for me due to my work schedule (full-time nights). Also, I recently finished graduate school through distance learning so am used to learning material independently.

Right, I think it's easier to make that commitment when you have online learning experience. I've taken all my pre-reqs online, and I love the flexibility it gives me.

I'm applying! Soo ready to be in a program. Finally will have lived somewhere long enough to apply and be settled. I had applied to Bon Secours for this spring while living at Camp Lejeune in NC, but did not get in. It was a long shot. Had I researched just a little longer, I'm told I probably would've been accepted into JTCC's spring program :'(. I would much rather the traditional program, as I feel that I focus better in that environment, but I'll take either at this point!

I have little ones at home, so hybrid means less childcare! ;)

Plus I really enjoy online learning!

I am applying for Fall 2016. Can you message me?

Have you taken the Teas and all the pre-reqs?

Have you taken all the pre-reqs and Teas V test?

Are you applying in Spring for the Fall 2016 Program?

I plan on applying to the Fall 2016 traditional program.

Has anyone taken the Teas V Test yet?

Have you all completed the pre-reqs?

I have to take A&P 1 next semester.

After this semester, I will be done with all of the pre-requisites.

I took my TEAS V test about two weeks ago. I scored in the 99th percentile for all categories, except for math, where I scored in the 96th percentile. So far I have a 4.0 GPA, and I'm expecting to maintain that through this semester.

I am planning on meeting with my advisor in the next few weeks to make sure I have all of my ducks in a row.

I am so excited! And I feel like I am a competitive candidate, so we shall see!

Ah that's awesome. Your scores are great - I am sure you will have NO problem. I am planning on taking my Teas in early Dec. and applying to JTCC in Feb. I was told by my advisor that they go off the Teas score in most cases of approving people. It puts a lot of stress on getting an awesome grade there.

What did you use to study for the Teas?

I used the ATI TEAS V study guide. I did a section per night (2 nights for the science b/c there's so much) for the week before the exam.

I am also applying to the Fall 2016 nursing program, i have taken just about every course that isn't a NUR class besides my MTH class & a humanities course, & I'm taking my TEAS test end of November beginning of December so if i don't do to well i can re take it in the beginning of January before i apply in the end of January beginning of February. I also heard that they mostly look at your TEAS scores and not your GPA only look at GPA if its a tie and to make sure you meet the GPA required, i was told this by My nursing Advisor, and a student who applied this fall who also heard from her advisor which makes me nervous.
