Helpppp.. I need some Hesi help from people who have taken it in VA

I graduated in may.. but cant seem to pass my hesi, so I have not technically graduated. WHich also means I cant sit for State boards. I ve tried Hogan, Saunders, Hesi, and Hurst. Imm at my breaking point. :crying2:Ive been in school for nursing over 5year now.. Is this a sign I need to take a break or just give up:confused: I dnt know what to do anymore :( If you have any advice for me I would really appreciate it!!!:o

Have you passed your hesi yet? I just joined this site about a month ago. And I had the hesi at the college I went to. I graduated in Apr...passed my boards in May.

Hi. I would suggest using the tools you already have! You have Hogan, Saunders, Hesi, and Hurst. I just passed Hesi about 2 weeks ago. I would suggest taking your score report from the last Hesi you took to see where you need to work on. I would suggest on working on each area you got less than 850. Thats exactly what I did. For example, I took hesi 2 times. The first time I did poor in cardiovasular and renal (along with additional various areas). I made it a point to read over cardiovascular and renal ( and every other area I did poorly on), continue to do 150- 200 questions a day. Not just reading the rationale but truly understanding why I got certain questions wrong and others right. So for whatever area you need to work on read hurst, skim over Hogans and read Saunders. Answer all the questions you can. Remember taking tests is a skill. It sound like you may have trouble with test taking skills or critical thinking. Hesi has a good review book. Lippincott has a HUGE question and answer book...nothing but questions. answer them all in the areas you are weak. You probably should know those...I can still tell you mine and I have been a nurse for 19 years.

Also, I am currently studying for cert. exams ( PCCN, CEN, etc.) and I have a CD I listen to in the car. It goes over details, questions, and I listen to it over and over and over.
