Hello allnurses!! I have registered for my classes beginni(prof nursing A/B and technical writing) now I am excited and eager to begin! Who's starting with me? Quick question..... How many prerequisite classes do/did u have to take? 5 for me including tech writing :(. Is the program truly 9,000 w/o prerequisites? How much more could an additional 5 classes be??? I look fwd to hearing from u guys (old and new classmates)

Yeah I agree with the both of you. This class is very time consuming. I initially chose some articles for my paper to get the assignment done but the more questions I am asked about the articles over the weeks make me feel like I should have chosen different articles (as you said Brickle). Nonetheless I was very patient as I went through the articles and I was able to formulate three good paragraphs for week 4 assignment. I am hoping to get a good grade. So far so good in this class, the major problem is time........do the assignments have to consume so much time? Am I doing something wrong?

Yesterday I just didn't care and tried to whip through the assignments. Lets see how I get graded...

Don't quit! Just keep going one class at a time! It isn't easy but putting it off will prolong it!

I just picked up 20 hours at work (was working part time after a back injury) so with that and the fact that I'm going to be tripled up for the first few weeks in June I'm scared!!

Specializes in L&D.

Hang in there folks. Part B (weeks 6-10) is way better IMHO. I just wrapped up the course today and I'm glad to be done with it!

I'm starting an ER residency in July & I don't want to be overwhelmed. After this one I think I'll have to take time off. I don't know how you're going to handle your triple schedule!! Good luck! I need to channel your motivation & energy LOL

That's good to hear!

Ok. So, my husband is away, I have worked 600 million hours and am exhausted. This week we have a break, right? Which means that week 6 starts on Monday May 20th and aside from the first discussion post due Wed 5/22, everything else is due on Monday 5/27 (the first day of week 7) right? I have all of the progress monitors done, plus all of my discussion posts and did the legislator e-mail, but I'm so utterly exhausted and don't have it in me to do the staffing assignment right now...I'm just paranoid I'm wrong.

Help!

Also, dumb question, where do I find the staffing laws for my state? I've searched for so many Massachusetts nursing laws and can't find anything definitive. But, I'm also working on like 20 hours of sleep for the past 6 days and have worked like 15 days in a row and am possibly febrile. Ugh.
