UTA FNP Academic Partnership Program June 30th 2014 Session

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hey everyone,

I recently applied to the FNP Academic Partnership Program at UTA for the June 30th session. Who else applied for this session and have you heard anything back? I am re-posting this because i didn't get any reponse the last time i posted it.

Thanks.

I have some friends that are in the on campus program. They are still having to find their own preceptors. Not sure how much help you get in that area.

I have heard the same thing from some on-campus students... I have been scouting out preceptors already, have secured some good leads so far, but we will see if they pan out...

Pay attention as to whether or not the facility that your prospective preceptor is at requires a contract with a school for clinical credit. IF they do, it can take a couple of months to get that contract in place. It is not something you want to be dealing with the semester you start clinicals.

Make sense?

How are classes going for those of you who started on june 30th?

Good to hear. I decided on TWU. But goodluck to you and everyone else going thru this program.

Hello all!

For those who applied but did their RN to BSN at UTA, was the admission requirment different? I talked to a program specialist and she told me they didn't require some of the stuff listed if we are previous UTA alumnis. Can anyone provide some insight into that as well as how hard was it to get in? It seems as if everyone applied has gotten in because I am also looking at Chamberlain college as well.

how has the program been so far. i was accepted into the Feb. 2015 cohort. also, how many classes are you taking at a time, and hows the work/life balance going?
