Specializes in Cardiovascular.

Brush up on APA for this class. They will nit-pik over that and you could lose points.

Just try to keep up with all of the assignments! All of the courses in this program are very nit-picky and contradictory! Lol that doesn't make sense right now but it will, I promise.

Make sure you know your APA rules. I have 3 APA books that I use for referencing rules. Good luck!

Purdue Owl is really the only reference needed - it's online and it's free.

Some formatting tricks for Word 2010 and better for those who really "enjoy?" inputting their references one at a time. Type up your reference in Times New Roman 12 pt with double spacing. Right click before the first line in the reference and choose paragraph. In the indentation menu you will see 'special'. Choose hanging from the drop down menu and apply. Like magic you will now have a properly formatted hanging indent and will avoid the points loss.

Specializes in ED, OR.

I just started the 25th also. This is going to be very different as I haven't taken any classes since I graduated a few years ago. Good luck to all!

yes I just started and I am already having trouble finding articles on role transition from RN to BSN. I have looked everywhere! Did anyone have any luck? I found 2 but they aren't really exactly on the topic. Pls help.....lol

The UTA online library should become your best friend. CINALD is the database for anything nursing related. It will also cite each article in APA that you chose.

Specializes in ICU.

Buy an APA book or an APA add-on for Word (such as PERRLA, which I recommend). Your APA is very important and will be scrutinized. You want to get where writing in APA is second nature.

That's so true iLovebees. After that program, I think we can all write in APA with our eyes closed now :-)
