Hi ktlam, check w/ your advisor about what you can use to substitute for the upper div elective. I used a PCCN certification. Don't know about an LVN license. you have to send some documentation showing your certification to your advisor and a few weeks later, someone from records and admissions will contact you to tell you to send $25. BTW, for gen classes, it is $168 per credit, so that is $504 per 3-credit class; nursing classes are $257 per credit. come join us.
I'm sold submitted my application lol. Thanks for the advices and info

    ktlam,

there are some awesome nurses on this forum who have helped me a lot and for that, i am very grateful. even more amazing considering we are all total strangers and nobody gets anything for themselves when they do it. it's just kindness. very cool.

For the record.....I looked into the Texas Govt. class, thanks to the advice on here, and I do need it. It was just overlooked on my course map. Thanks goodness someone told me! I would have been very mad!

Does TNCC count as an elective, anyone know???

    hi registered in 06,
i'm glad someone here helped you. I've received much more help here than I have from any of my AC's or even others in the class.

You don't say, this could save me a handful of dough, who did you talk to that verified TNCC counted as an elective?

My advisor looked into it. You should ask your advisor to do the same.

I'm going to use CCRN and TNCC to fulfill the upper division electives. The TNCC is pretty easy, if you are already a critical care nurse. Maybe 3 hours of study/review and then the exam. Much better than $500 for an 8 week session of medical terminology!! Plus it looks good on a resume.

Anyone have input on the CCRN, just curious how much study time to allow.

I agree, much better than a class, do you have to take an exam for the TNCC certification?

    Hello all!

I am new to this site and have not posted much.

I am thinking about doubling up Older Adults and Legacy of the Family. I just want to know is it possible to take these courses together? Will this be a heavy course load? How is the course work for each of these courses?

Also which classes do you recommend doubling up on and which to take alone?

    Thanks in advance!

It's doable. Those classes aren't that hard.
