has anybody work for two different companies for the same hospital?

Usually you are not able to as there are usually clauses in your contract that you may not return to that facility for a certain period of time after your contracts are completed without your originating agency being paid a fee of about $8000 or so.

Many facilities will not permit it as well. They may take you on as permanent staff and pay the contract fee to the agency, but usually you do not see the nurse change agencies and remain in the same facility to follow. Have seen it once in awhile, but not too often and again, depends on the contract that you signed in the beginning.

I worked with a traveler on my last contract that renewed with the same hospital, using another company. We were originally with the same company & were not happy with them. She renewed using another company & I just switched companies and went somewhere else. Can't see any problem with it if you do not tell one company about the other & the hospital agrees to it. If you are thinking about using 2 companies at the same time, for the same hospital, that's a different thing.
