Traveling with a dog?

I travelled with a husband and a dog. No problems! The housing provided was dog friendly (or at least claimed to be)! The biggest difficulty was that my dog was used to a fenced yard and a pet door -- living in an apartment with me working 12 hour shifts took a little getting used to for her.

My company located the housing, no hassels about pet deposit. (They took it out of my first paycheck). We drove to our assignment, so the dog traveled with us.

I have to say, if you're all alone in a strange city, it's nice to have your best friend with you!

I travel with my cat, dog and boyfriend. I have had to provide the pet deposit, but one company was nice enough to do it and take it out over time out of my paycheck.
Just let them know up front that you are traveling with a dog, the breed and the weight.

I am actually here with two little Yorkies and we flew. I just had to pay for the dogs at the airport for their ticket and the company took the $75 deposit out of my first check. Very easy.

I've been traveling with my dog for 7 yrs. As above, the company has arranged housing and deducted pet deposits.
My only other suggestion: When I get to a new assignment I immediately check out veterinarians and kennels to be prepared in case she gets sick or I need to be away from home. I carry a copy of her vet records and shots with me in my file.
