Does anyone have any expirence with Aureus Medical? I have been talking to them about a position in Montana and just wanted to do my research. Any other LPN's (or RN's) have any travel agency suggestions? Please help!

Not meaning to hijack the thread but does anyone have an opinion about CMSI? They have a location I want but I don't know anything about them other than what their website says.

Thanks.

I would like to set up a set of questions that nurses can actually ask an Agency. When their questions are answered to their liking, they actually format the questions in a word document, send them to the company and have them sign it. That way, as you proceed there isn't as much guesswork.

Hey,

I am considering travel nursing myself.....can you suggest any companies that you have used and have had great experiences with or referred to? Any information will be greatly appreciated..thanks

Specializes in geriatric and military hospital.

i am not sure about the travel division but i worked for nursefinders in the past as a CNA and i never had any problems with them and they offer benefits after you work for them for so many hours.

I have worked with Health-Force (http://www.health-force.com) and find them wonderful! They staff RNs, LPNs and all allied personnel. I have also worked with their Crisis Nurse division (http://www.crisisnurse.com) and find them excellent as well. Either division will place you in a travel assignment; if you are interested in doing labor disputes (nice term for strikes) Crisis Nurse is the company to go with. Good Luck!

Another agency which is GREAT is Freedom Healthcare Staffing http://www.freedomhcs.com

or better yet, call 866-463-0385 and ask for Ryan. They will place LPNs.

A second recommendation is Health-Force. Try Sugar Hunter. I don't have their number with me web is http://www.health-force.com. Their strike division, Crisis Nurse, covers ancillary as well as RN strikes. http://www.Crisisnurse.com. It is worth registering with them if you are at all interested in strike work.

Good Luck

I worked with medical express, and RN network. Medical express will try to pay you as little as possible. You have to stick your ground. Make sure you check out other rates for the area. Their insurance isn't good IMO. Housing was wonderful. I was paid correctly each time. RN network is a bit different. I feel like I have to pull teeth to get anything done, and make sure everything you are promised is in writing. I had a few things that were promised but I'm not getting them, because it isn't in writing. My paychecks have been wrong a few times. They blame it on human error and fix it quickly, but you have to stay on it. Medical express has more locations available because the belong to American Mobile. They also have online services that RN network doesn't have. I think RNN has better insurance than ME.

thought of one more thing....with medical express you can "bank" extra days during the week as a safety net if you need to call out a day....they won't deduct housing costs. On your contract they list an hourly amount they will deduct if you miss a day and don't make it up during any week. Mine were $7-8/hr. Mulitple that x12 and that will show what they take out if you miss a day. RNNetwork figures out the math differently (not sure how it is done). It was about 120.00 for a day. HOWEVER WITH RN NETWORK YOU CAN'T BANK ANY EXTRA TIME. If you only work 2 days instead of 3 they will deduct no matter how many extra days you have done before. I was told different when I asked my recruiter, but then when it came down to me calling out a day, I was deducted and told there was nothing that "could" be done.
