Good travel nurse agencies? For whom? There are about 400 agencies and every one has happy travelers. Which one is right for you? Mostly the agency brand is irrelevant. What matters most is the recruiter and your relationship and communication to your traveler. No way to shortcut the process of finding recruiters you click with. Call lots of them and pick the best three to five to sign up with, do all the paperwork, and see how they do. Now you have market information and will get multiple offers and know what you are worth in different locations.

The only time saver I can recommend here is to drop any recruiter who says you have to do all the paperwork before they will share information on real and current assignments and compensation. Not worth it. Move on.

I don't make a lot of recommendations about specific agencies, but I make an exception for Aureus. Hands down, it is by far the worst agency for travel nurses out of nearly 400 agencies. Google Aureus reviews, or even Aureus on AllNurses for almost universally bad comments. The only good comments I've ever seen about Aureus comes from allied health travelers (they started as a radiology agency). They may have some happy nurse travelers but usually that only lasts until they get to an assignment where there are travelers for other agencies.

Generally, posters here who want to message you privately about an agency are only trying to do one thing, make money off of you. They are either an agency recruiter, or a traveler going for a referral bonus in the worst way referring someone they don't know and haven't worked with. Neither has your best interest at heart.

Either way, you will not benefit versus doing your own legwork. Not that it matters, you cannot send a PM here until you reach 15 posts. Decent policy as usually recruiters are spotted long before they can spam members here with PMs.

Aureus is a large agency, and I can only speak for myself, but I have had a great experience with them.

I am only trying to help a potential new traveler who asked a question. I make enough money already, thanks :-)

I don't know anything about Aureus but I agree with Neds earlier comment. There are many companies that claim to be the best but overall its about the recruiter the company itself doesn't affect you much as a traveler but the recruiter does. If you work for a bad company with a good recruiter you may not notice it. But work with a good company and a bad recruiter and for sure you will notice it and likely drop that company. There are big, small and med size comapnies I suggest having a mix of companies in your pocket and developing relationships with recruiters from there. I think 4-6 different ones is good start. I currently have about 8 but this year have traveled with 2 mostly. I still communicate with the others but sometimes the bad is low or the place isn't where you want to go or maybe something else. point is keep your options open, also this helps you know if your recruiter is cheating you on pay when you compare similar offers. just my 2 cents

Why not share what you know here on the forum? Why do you ask for a private message?

Because one person asked. What would you like to know?

No one asked for private messages except you.

As I stated, I was only speaking to the OP, or anyone who would like more info from a travel nurse with a positive experience working for a specific agency.
