travel interest-need info on nurses on the go and world health

by cysrnob

Hi,
I am new to this site. I have been researching travel companies for the last couple of weeks and have narrowed my search to "nurses on the go" and "world health." I am basing my decisions only on internet info. Does anyone have any info or experience with these companies? I want to know if they are honest and that they pay like they say. I also want to know if the housing is decent and really free. Thanks so much.

I have never heard of either of them ,or read anything about those two. Are you getting private housing? Utilities paid? When do you get reimbursed for travel expenses? Immediately, or several weeks to months out?
If it is not written in the contract, it doesn't exist. Your recruiter normally cannot make a promise if it is not the company's policy. Are you guaranteed shifts each week? Do you get to select the city and state, as well as facility?

I researched about 2 years before I had the courage to accept and assignment. One recruiter flat out lied to me - the contract was totally different. He stalked my cell phone for two weeks after I didn't take the assignment. He called about 10 times a day - and I am not exagerating. I have accepted an assignment with Clinical One and I am very pleased. My housing is exceptional, paid the first week for travel. My health insurance started the first day, and they are a pet friendly company. One of the reasons I decided on this company was that one of my former co-workers decided to use Clinical One. I feel that it is best that your first time out you use a company that someone you know can recommend. Good Luck to you.

I am not sure of anything regarding these companies and I do not know anyone who travels. I did read some negative stuff about World Health so I am ruling them out. I have read a lot of positive about OnAssignment. I am now leaning towards them. This is just a big step in me and my family's life and I don't want to pick the wrong company. I will take any advise thrown at me. Thanks.

I had heard good things about On Assignment, but they completely screwed around with my niece's friend. Since then, I've heard many other bad stories about them related to contracts being changed after they'd been signed and really bad housing (something about VanBuren st in Pheonix). It seems like the most important thing is the individual recruiter because other people love them.
