Signed a contract 3 weeeks ago with them and so far I am very far from impressed.

Worked the week of June the 4th and won't see a paycheck till Friday the 22nd!

I would advise anyone to be very cautious in their dealings with Nightingale, esp. concerning the housing. This is a company that advertises great housing, that I have yet to see.

Never again will I deal with these people. When my contract is completed, it will be goodbye Nightingale forever!

RUN, RUN, RUN is my best advice to anyone considering them as a travel nurse company.

Nightingale nurses is the worst , I have been a travel nurse for 7 years for just as many agencies and sometimes assignments end for many different reasons prematurely. Census, personality conflicts, family emergencies, ridiculous staffing assignments (every weekend for thirteen weeks straight, six twelve hour shifts straight, or just don't like him). I have always been paid for time worked. One contract gave me two weeks severance pay because it ended early. My last one ended because I complained that I had no orientation then was given orientation three weeks into my contract without being told then fired for not showing up on a day I knew nothing about. I was told by Nightingale that I was not "flexible" and should have went despite working the overnight shift. Contract ended that day because I was "being difficult" Nightingale kept my three weeks pay. and paid me minimum wage. I did hire a law firm that did nothing except tell me I signed the contract . I pray KARMA comes swiftly.

That sucks! Many state labor boards will only cover minimum wages but some will enforce your historical wage. It is worth contacting them just to put Nightingale on their radar. Try contacting labor boards in the work state, your home state, and Nightingale's corporate state, one of them may be able to help you recover.

You can definitely recover in a civil suit. Depending on the contract language, you may even be able to sue for the balance of the contract. A lawyer isn't going to be interested in recovering three weeks pay on contingency. In some states, failure to pay full pay owed within 24 hours or so of termination allows for additional civil penalties. Consider small claims court if you really want satisfaction.
