Questions about housing

by newrn05

I traveled for about 3 assignments. The company I was with payed well. I made 40 an hour plus free housing. I have spoken with other agencies that say pay is 36 then housing comes out of that. Can anyone explain the different ways that they do the housing? I am waiting for my 6 months to be done at the hospital where i am at at home so that I can leave on good standing and go back to travel nursing. I refuse to go back to the agency I was with because they would not back me on a housing issue.

Thanks

Every Travel Company I Have Ever Been With Offers This: Your Pay Is Your Pay, Housing Is Set Up By Your Company And They Pay Everything Or You Can Ask For A Stipend Housing Allowance And They Give You The Money To Find Your Own Housing And You Pay For All Out Of Your Housing Allowance...it Is Best If You Can Stay With Friends...get The Housing Allowance, Pay Your Friends Whatever They Need And Save The Rest...you Will Make More That Way

$36 and housing comes out of that? So then they are going to tell you that you pay is going to be $18 per hour?

Not something that I would ever consider. Housing is separate from what is being quoted for pay.

Look for other companies would be my suggestion to you.
